Group Participation Agreement

Overview

The IFS Practice Circle is a group-based experiential learning space offered by Orlee Living + Wellness. Sessions are held via Zoom and include guided Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed exercises, mindfulness practices, and opportunities for reflection and optional sharing.

The purpose of the group is to support participants in developing greater awareness of their internal systems and cultivating Self leadership through experiential learning.

Participation in this group is voluntary and participants are free to choose their level of engagement.

Nature of the Group

The IFS Practice Circle is educational and experiential in nature.

It is not psychotherapy, medical treatment, or crisis intervention.

The group is designed to support learning and personal insight, but it is not a substitute for individual therapy or mental health care.

Participants are responsible for seeking additional support if deeper emotional material arises.

Group Structure

Sessions typically include:

• brief introduction to an IFS concept
• guided experiential exercise
• journaling or reflection
• optional group sharing
• closing integration

Participants may attend individual sessions or return regularly.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is an important part of creating a safe group environment.

Participants agree to:

• respect the privacy of others in the group
• not share personal information or stories shared by other participants outside the group

While the practitioner will maintain professional confidentiality, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed among participants.

Participants are encouraged to share only what feels appropriate and safe.

Emotional Responsibility

The experiential nature of the group may bring up emotions, thoughts, or personal reflections.

Participants agree to:

• monitor their own emotional well-being
• participate at a level that feels comfortable
• step away or pause if needed

Participants are responsible for seeking individual support outside the group if deeper emotional processing is needed.

Technology and Privacy

Sessions are conducted via Zoom.

Participants are responsible for joining from a location that supports their privacy and comfort.

While reasonable efforts are made to protect confidentiality, the practitioner cannot guarantee the security of internet-based communications.

Participants agree to hold the practitioner harmless for any technological breach outside of her control.

Crisis Support

This group is not designed to support participants in acute crisis.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact emergency services, a crisis hotline, or a local mental health provider.

Participation Guidelines

To support a respectful group environment, participants agree to:

• listen without judgment
• avoid giving advice or attempting to fix others
• allow space for different experiences and perspectives
• respect time and participation boundaries

• I agree to respect group confidentiality
• I understand that this group is not psychotherapy
• I take responsibility for my participation and well-being
