What is Yoga + IFS?
Embodied Self: Yoga + IFS is a powerful, integrative experience that combines Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work with mindful movement, breath, and hands-on yoga. This approach bridges the gap between mind and body, helping you feel the healing, not just think about it.
As we explore parts of you that hold pain, protection, or wisdom, we invite the body to be a co-facilitator in the process. You may be guided into specific poses, stretches, or movements that support the energy of a part or emotion, allowing you to process and release what’s been held, physically and emotionally.
Why do it together?
Pairing IFS with yoga offers a deeper pathway to healing. When the body moves and opens while the inner system is being explored, powerful shifts can occur.
Benefits of this work include:
Releasing stuck emotions or trauma through somatic awareness
Increased trust between your mind, body, and Self
Integration of insights through movement, not just words
Healing that addresses both psychological and physical patterns
Support for grief, trauma, anxiety, and inner conflict in a safe, embodied way
A deeper sense of presence, empowerment, and self-compassion
This experience allows you to feel seen, supported, and held, both from within and in the container we create together.
Session Overview
Every session begins with a conversation or meditation to explore what’s present, what part of you is showing up, what’s feeling tender, stuck, or activated. From there, I guide you through movement that helps you connect to that part in the body, whether through grounding, stretching, softening, or opening.
We may include:
Parts dialogue from the IFS model
Gentle or dynamic yoga postures related to the part’s energy
Manual adjustments (with your consent)
Breathwork and visualization to regulate the nervous system
Time for integration through journaling or rest
This is a co-created space where your experience leads. No flexibility, experience, or emotional readiness is required, just curiosity and a willingness to listen inward.
Sessions are available in person only.
