embodied self
Embodied Self: Yoga + IFS is a powerful, integrative experience that combines Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work with mindful movement, breath, and hands-on yoga. This approach bridges the gap between mind and body, helping you feel the movement of energy as it heals.
As we explore parts of you that hold pain, protection, or wisdom, the body becomes a co-facilitator. You may be guided into poses, stretches, or movements that support the energy of a part or emotion, allowing you to process and release what’s been held physically and emotionally.
When your inner world is explored alongside intentional movement, deep, embodied shifts can occur.
You may feel something held in the body:
• Tightness, bracing, or chronic tension
• Emotions that don’t fully release
• Feeling stuck “in your head” during therapy
• Parts that make sense cognitively but still feel active or overwhelmed
• A sense that your body is carrying what your mind can’t quite reach
• Feeling disconnected from your physical experience
Perhaps you’ve tried to talk through things, understand them, or analyze them, but your body hasn’t had a place to participate.
There may be grief, anxiety, protection, or old trauma living in muscles, breath patterns, or posture… and nowhere for it to go.
Right now, you might be feeling:
• Pulled between parts that want healing and parts that feel scared or guarded
• Disconnected from your body or unsure how to “drop in”
• Overwhelmed by emotion one moment and numb the next
• A desire for grounding but not knowing how to access it
• A sense that your body holds stories you haven’t had language for
• Unsure how to move forward when insight alone hasn’t created relief
You’re craving deeper integration, something that moves beyond talking and into embodiment.
Imagine…
• Releasing stuck emotion or trauma through movement and awareness
• Feeling your body soften as a part finally has room to breathe
• Understanding your inner world not just mentally, but somatically
• Experiencing trust between your mind, body, and Self
• Allowing grief, fear, or tension to move through instead of staying locked in
• Feeling supported, seen, and grounded as you reconnect with your inner system
• Building a relationship with your body that feels safe, compassionate, and alive
Yoga + IFS offers healing that addresses both your psychological and physical patterns, bringing you back into the wholeness of your embodied Self.
Session Overview
Every session begins with a conversation or meditation to explore what’s present — which part is showing up, what feels tender or activated.
We then use movement to support the inner work. Sessions may include:
• IFS parts dialogue
• Gentle or dynamic yoga that reflects the part’s energy
• Manual adjustments (with consent)
• Breathwork and visualization for nervous system regulation
• Integration through journaling, rest, or stillness
This work is co-created. No flexibility or yoga experience is needed, just a willingness to listen inward.
Sessions are available in person only.
