What is Yoga?
Yoga is a holistic practice that connects movement, breath, and awareness to support physical, emotional, and mental well-being. It’s not about mastering poses. It’s about learning to listen to your body, regulate your nervous system, and return to yourself.
In the way I guide it, yoga is accessible, trauma-informed, and attuned to your unique needs. Whether you're working through stress, healing from trauma or injury, or simply seeking a more grounded, embodied life, this practice can meet you where you are.
Why Yoga?
Yoga offers far more than physical flexibility. It invites a deeper connection to yourself and the present moment. Some of the benefits include:
Reduced stress and anxiety through breath and movement
Improved body awareness, strength, and mobility
Emotional regulation and nervous system support
A gentle way to process and release stuck energy or emotion
A sense of grounding, empowerment, and inner calm
Greater compassion toward your body and lived experience
This practice can be particularly healing for those who feel disconnected from their bodies, overwhelmed by emotion, or unsure how to “come home” to themselves.
Session Overview
Each session is customized to meet your needs, whether you're seeking energizing movement, deep rest, emotional support, or simply time to reconnect with yourself. We may include:
Breathwork (pranayama) to settle the nervous system
Power, gentle movement, or restorative postures
Meditation or guided visualization
Somatic prompts to bring awareness to different parts of the body and inner experience
No experience is needed. You don’t have to be flexible, strong, or spiritual, just open to exploring what your body has to say, and what it needs.
Sessions are available in person or online, and can be one-on-one or in small groups.
